Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) leader Charles Milupi has condemned plans by the government to phase out small buses from the public transport sector.
Mr. Milupi has alleged that move is part of gimmicks by the some senior PF official who want to take over the transport sector.
The opposition leader noted that the policy once in place will affect bus operators as they will not be able to afford big buses a situation that will sent many people out of employment.
Mr. Milupi stressed that the cause of the accidents that have continued to be recorded are as a result of corrupt policemen who allow faulty cars to be on the road.
The Opposition leader said this during a joint press briefing at the UPND secretariat.
