MBASELA RESIDENTS CALL THE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A GOVERNMENT SCHOOL

BY NELLY BOTA

Some concerned residents of Lusaka’s Mbasela compound in Kanyama constituency have called on government to construct a Primary school in the area.

Speaking in an interview with Komboni radio news, Mary Tembo says there is need for government to consider building a school in that locality in order to mitigate challenges that children face in accessing education.

Mrs Tembo says the only nearest school is very far from the community a situation she says has been demotivating to children in that area.

Another resident Chewe Bwalya also echoed the same sentiments and stated that some children have even dropped out of school due to the long distance they have to cover.
