MATERO RESIDENTS APPEAL FOR THE REPAIR OF STREET LIGHTS ALONG COMMON WEALTH ROAD

Residents of Matero Township have repeated calls on the Lusaka City Council to repair the street lights along the Common Wealth Road.
The residents have disclosed to a Komboni Radio News Crew which visited the community today that the street lights from Matero Market to Lilanda Market have not been working for some time now.
And Mr Bruce Chibale has told Komboni Radio News that criminals have taken advantage of the darkness at night and are attacking unsuspecting members of the public at night.
Another resident who also expressed concern over the non-functional street lights along Common Wealth Road has since urged the local authority to quickly work on the street lights in order to enhance security and restore sanity in the community.
