Residents of Lusaka’s Matero north area have bemoaned the seemingly lack of development in that area.
Speaking in an interview with a Komboni radio news crew that visited the community today, James Bwalya lamented that their area has been sidelined, citing lack of police presence and dilapidated roads.
Bwalya complained that the deplorable state of most roads in Matero North has proved to be challenging for motorists hence the need for the authorities to ensure that roads are worked on.
Another resident Mercy Mwila also expressed disappointment over delays by the authorities to open the newly constructed police post in that community.
She lamented that criminals have taken advantage of the absence of police presence in that area to attack innocent residents and break into their homes.
The residents have since implored their community leaders to urgently address issues affecting residents of Matero North.
