MALAWIAN NATIONAL MOURNS TORCHING OF HER HOUSE IN ROSETTENVILLE

Malawian national Elubey Mwalen says her home in Rosettenville, southern Johannesburg, was torched for no reason.
Mwalen is one of several residents left homeless after community members allegedly set their homes on fire.
This follows a wave of violent protests in the area over drugs and prostitution that has resulted in more than 10 houses believed to be drug dens being torched on Saturday.
A divested Mwalen laments that she has lost all her property and has nowhere to go after her house was set alight.
Mwalen said she had been caught in the crossfire between locals and foreigners.
Mwalen said she had lost everything she owned, including money and almost 80 pairs of shoes which were supposed to be exported to her homeland.
