LACK OF COMPUTERS HAMPERING THE DELIVERY OF ICT LESSONS IN RURAL AREAS

BY KALALUKA MUSHAUKWA

National Action for Quality Education in Zambia has observed that the lack of computers in rural areas is hampering the delivery of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) lessons.

In an interview with Komboni Radio News, organization Executive Director Aaron Chansa disclosed that over 500 pupils in rural areas depend on one computer for ICT lessons.

Mr Chansa says his organization has noted with sadness that pupils especially in rural areas have continued to lag behind in ICT lesson due to lack of enough computers.

He has since appealed to the Zambian government to procure more computers for schools in rural areas to ensure effective delivery of ICT lessons.
