Shoprite Kasama has been fined K1, 500 by the local authority for violating the Public Health Act.
Kasama Municipal Council Assistant Public Relations Officer, Caroline Simumba, has confirmed this saying that the local authority re-opened the store after it worked on its sewer spillage.
Ms. Simumba explained that Shoprite Kasama applied for a re-opening indicating that it had fixed the sewer system.
On Monday, Kasama Municipal Council closed Shoprite supermarket for violating the Public Health Act.
