KANYAMA RESIDENTS CALL FOR THE RESURFACING OF ROADS IN THE COMMUNITY

BY BOSTON MUVWANGA
Residents of Kanyama compound have called on the local authority to resurface the roads with gravel that have been logged with water following the continued heavy rains.
James Phiri has told Komboni radio news that the water which has become stagnant on the roads has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes which may also lead to an outbreak of diseases such as cholera.
Mr. Phiri also charged that the rainy waters that have accumulated on the roads are making the mobility of motorists and residents difficult.
The concerned resident has also called on the Ministry of Health to come up with interventions that will help curb malaria following the increase in the population of mosquitoes in the area.
