Kamulanga ward councilor Jonas Phiri has warned residents in his ward to desist from burning tyres and other objects during the day.
In an interview with Komboni radio news, Mr Phiri complained that he has received a lot of complaints of air pollution being caused by people who burn tyres during the day.
Mr. Phiri has since warned that it is illegal to burn tyres or other substances and anyone found wanting will be dealt with accordingly.
