Residents of Kabwata Township have bemoaned the continued interruption of water supply in that area.

The residents have told Komboni Radio News that of late the area has been faced with prolonged water interruptions making it difficult for them to go on with their daily activities.

Nchimunya Mweemba said that during the water interruption periods, the residents are forced to go and draw water from Kabwata basic school and other houses with boreholes.

Another residents Sandra phiri told komboni radio that the water interruption is suspected to have been caused by the installation of pipes by the Millennium Challenge Corporation.

And responding to the complaints, Kabwata ward 5 councillor Longa Chiboboka said the water interruptions are as a result of on-going water and sanitation projects being done.

He has since called on residents to be patient as the water interruptions are for a short period of take.
