ISOKA FARMER SHOT AND INJURED BY UNKNOWN PEOPLE

 

Unknown people have shot and injured a farmer of Isoka district in Muchinga Province.

Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Chola Katanga has confirmed the development to ZANIS today.

Mr. Katanga explained that on Saturday February 24 around 06.00 hours, at Chilanga Village In chief Kafwimb’s area in Isoka District, unknown people shot and wounded Amson Sichalwe a farmer.

The Police Commissioner further narrated that the victim Amson Sichalwe was shot at using a homemade Muzzle loader Gun in the stomach.

Mr Katanga said the victim met his fate when he went outside his house to answer the call of nature and when he was on his return to the house unknown people shot at him.

He explained that the reason for shooting Mr Sichalwe was not yet known and has since been referred to Chinsali District hospital for specialized treatment.

Mr Katanga disclosed that several pallets from Gunshot were stuck in the stomach that needs to be removed by specialized doctors.

The police commissioner bemoaned the rampant shooting and killing of people in Isoka district on pretext that they practiced witchcraft.

Mr Katanga has disclosed that on February 21, 2018 another Man was shot at in Kafwimbi’s Chiefdom and hardly three days another one has been shot and wounded in Isoka.

Several people in Isoka district of Muchinga province have lost lives in the similar circumstances.
