Residents of Mtendere East have expressed concern over the ongoing land repossession exercise by the local authority in that area.
Speaking on behalf of the affected residents, a resident who sort anonymity disclosed that people claiming to be council officials have moved in and are repossessing plots on account that they were illegally acquired.
He has complained that residents were not warned or notified about the repossession exercise which has so far seen one house demolished.
The residents have since appealed to the area councilor to intervene in the matter as a number of people have been inconvenienced during this process.
And efforts to get a comment from Chainda Ward Councilor Dorcas Moyo proved futile as her mobile phone went unanswered by broadcast time.
