HOUSE NUMBERING PROJECT TO IMPROVE SERVICE DELIVERY BY THE COUNCIL

Residents of Makeni Yellow shop area say the house numbering project by the Lusaka City Council (LCC) will improve service delivery by the local authority.
James Phiri a resident said the recognition of the community will enable the local authority to collect the much needed revenue adding that this will result in the provision of services such as road constructions and schools among other social amenities.
Another resident of the same area David Bwalya said the local authority’s initiative to have members of the public name roads in their communities after names of their choice at a fee is a good idea which will enable the council raise more revenue.
In efforts to maximize on the revenue collection by the local authority, Lusaka mayor Wilson Kalumba recently announced that the council is engaging members of the public who wish to name roads of their choice at a fee.
