HEALTH POST NOT A PRIORITY IN CHUNGA TOWNSHIP

BY NELLY BOTA
Mwembeshi ward 27 Councilor Kelvin Kaunda says constructing a clinic in government farms area of Chunga Township is not a priority.
Reacting to calls by residents of that community on the need to construct a health post, Councilor Kaunda explained that the construction of another clinic in his ward is not urgent stating that there is a clinic already near the local police post which services people from government farm area.
He also explained that the clinic which is under construction at Chunga market will also mitigate the challenges residents face in accessing health care service.
The civic leader has since appealed for patience from residents from his ward stating that there are other developmental issues such as the rehabilitation of roads, erratic water supply and the legalization of land that need urgent attention from the local authority.
