Centre for Trade Policy and Development (CTPD) has Called for the lifting of the export ban on the Mukula tree.
CTPD Executive Director Isaac Mwaipopo has instead suggested that other measures be put in place to protect the Mukula tree species from extinction other than the export ban.
Mr. Mwaipopo has observed that reports of the continued illegal exportation of the Mukula tree are of great concern as the country continues to lose revenue.
The CTPD executive director added that lifting the ban will enable the country gain revenue which can be channeled towards development programs.
