The Parliamentary Committee on Youth, Sport and Child Matters says Zambia is facing an enormous challenge of reducing the high unemployment levels among the youths.
Committee chairperson, Chinga Miyutu says there is need to initiate programmes that would create employment opportunities, especially among the young people.
Mr. Miyutu made the remarks when he recently led committee members to pay a courtesy call on Northern Province Minister, Brian Mundubile.
Mr. Miyutu was however quick to note that the high unemployment levels in Zambia could be reduced with the involvement of other stakeholders.
And Northern Province Minister, Brian Mundubile said the high unemployment level among the youths in the province is worrying.
