GOVT HAILED FOR SETTING UP SOLAR MILLING PLANT KAKUSU VILLAGE

Residents of Kakusu village in Chief Chinakila’s chiefdom in Mpulungu district have thanked government for setting up a solar milling plant in the area.

The residents said the move has alleviated some challenges they used to face in accessing a grinding mill machine in Senga Hill where they used to cover about 24 kilometers.

speaking when Lands Minister Jean Kapata paid an impromptu stop over at the solar milling plant, Kakusu Zonal Cooperative operator James Simfukwe said government deserves commendation for the gesture.

And Lands Minister Jean Kapata hailed President Edgar Lungu for coming up with the initiative saying it is helping people especially in rural areas.

Ms. Kapata said this is an indication that the head of state has a heart for all Zambians regardless of the areas they live in.

She implored the locals to guard the equipment jealously.
