A 32 year old woman of Lusaka’s George compound has allegedly stabbed her husband to death.
Neighbours have confirmed the development to a Komboni radio news crew that rushed to the scene this morning.
A neighbour who declined to be named explained that the deceased who has only been identified as Patrick was stabbed by his wife last night around 22 hours after a marital dispute and was pronounced dead at George Clinic where he was rushed for medical attention.
He further disclosed that residents later apprehended the suspect and handed her over to the police.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited in the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) mortuary awaiting post-mortem while the suspect has been detained at Matero Police.
Meanwhile, residents of George compound have repeated calls on the police to intensify night patrols in the area.
The residents’ comments come in the wake of another body of a 20 year old girl who was discovered dead in the area yesterday.
