GARRY NKOMBO WARNED AND CAUTIONED FOR MANSLAUGHTER

Police have recorded a warn and caution statement from UPND Mazabuka Member of Parliament Garry Nkombo for Manslaughter.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo says a warn and caution statement has been recorded from Mr Nkombo in connection with the death of Harry Chanda which happened on 25th February 2013 in Livingstone.
Mrs Katongo says one person identified as Henry Harry Lungu was arrested in connection with the subject office and was jointly charged with unknown persons for manslaughter, contrary to section 199 of the penal code chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.
Mrs Katongo says the suspect Henry Harry Lungu was convicted on 9th March 2017 and is currently serving a six year sentence with hard labour.
She further revealed that police continued to investigate the matter so as to link other people who could have participated in the commission of the offense hence the summoning of Mr Nkombo who has been warned and cautioned for Manslaughter.
The Police spokesperson says investigations into the matter have continued.
