Ngwerere ward 19 Councilor Adrian Banda has warned of stern action against people who have continued to indiscriminately dump trash in undesignated areas.
In an interview with Komboni radio news, Mr Banda says it is regrettable that some unscrupulous residents in garden compound are dumping their solid waste in undesignated places.
The civic leader has since appealed to residents in his ward to subscribe for garbage collection in order to prevent the outbreak of waterborne diseases.
He says it is unfortunate that some residents do not want to subscribe for garbage collection despite the effort he has made in engaging Community Based Enterprises to reduce Garbage Subscription fees.
MR Banda has also warned that those that will be found throwing trash in undesignated places risk being prosecuted.
