A family of Lusaka’s Garden house area is living in fear following threats from suspected cadres over a land dispute.
In an interview with Komboni radio news, the woman who declined to be named disclosed that some suspected cadres have been threatening to harm her family if they refuse to vacate the land they are currently occupying.
She narrated that the issue started when some cadres sold a piece of land to her family and now want to evict them after developing on the said land.
She lamented that nothing has been done to protect her family despite reporting the matter to the police, a situation she says has forced her husband and children to go into hiding.
The woman has since appealed to the local leadership and well-wishers to help her family fight for their land and property.
