FOUR SUSPCETED CRIMINALS NABBED IN CHELSTONE TOWNSHIP

Police in Lusaka have apprehended four suspects who have been behind a spate of burglary and thefts that had rocked Lusaka’s Chelstone and surrounding area in the recent past.
Police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo who disclosed the arrests in a statement issued yesterday, said the four suspects were arrested in an operation that was carried out in that area following numerous complaints from members of the public.
Mrs Katongo identified the four suspects as Twambo Muzyamba aged 26 of Madido in Chelstone, Pearson Shamutete aged 20 of Kamanga compound, David Njovu aged 20 of Mtendere and Sodius Mwanza 21 of Mtendere compound.
The police spokesperson has since called upon members of the public who could have had their properties stolen to go to Chelstone police station and help identify the recovered items.
