The Forum for Democracy and Development-FDD has formally reported PF Secretary General Davies Mwila to the Police for directing PF cadres to forcibly take over the running of Markets and Bus station in Kabwe.
FDD spokesperson Antonio Mwanza has since challenged the Zambia police to arrest Mr Mwila for making what he termed as a criminal statement in Kabwe.
Mr Mwanza has charged that the statement made by the PF Secretary General is a serious threat to the peace and stability of the country.
He said it is unbelievable that the secretary general of the ruling party and former lawmaker can be issuing such instructions inciting civil disorder against lawful authority.
The FDD spokesperson says Mr Mwila must understand that markets, bus stations and taxi ranks are public places and every citizen has the right to trade or do business within these premises regardless one’s political affiliation.
Recently, during his tour of central province, PF Secretary General Davis Mwila advised councilors and cadres to take over the running of bus stations and markets.
