FARMERS STORM KASAMA DC’S OFFICE OVER DELAYED E-VOUCHER CARDS

BY CORRESPONDENT

Farmers from Misolo and Milungu East cooperatives in Kasama district yesterday stormed the District Commissioners office to complain over the delayed distribution of electronic voucher cards.

Aggrieved farmers complained that their crop fields have gone to waste owing to the delayed distribution of farming inputs.

The irate farmers further wondered why government has decided to remain quiet on the matter.

They have since appealed to officers responsible to accelerate the process of issuing e-voucher cards.

Kasama District Commissioner Kelly Kashiwa had tough time to come down the irate farmers.

Mr. Kashiwa later appealed to the farmers to remain calm saying government is doing everything possible to address the issue.
