EXPECTANT MOTHERS BEMOAN ERRATIC WATER SUPPLY AT KANYAMA CLINIC

BY SYLVESTER KAUMBA
Expectant mothers and women in Kanyama compound have bemoaned the erratic water supply in the maternity ward at Kanyama Clinic.
In an interview with Komboni radio news today, Ms Maria Bwalya says the water crisis at Kanyama clinic has worsened and needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
She says it is sad that the health centre would sometimes go for more than four hours without running water, forcing relatives to walk long distance in search of water for their sick relatives.
And Ms Judith Mwila has noted with concern that the erratic water supply at the local health centre may cause serious health risks for expectant mothers and newly born babies.
The residents have since appealed to the local leadership to urgently address this issue.
