ESMAZ WELCOMES HANDING BACK OF BLACK MOUNTAIN TO JERABOS

The Emerald and Semi Precious Stones Mining Association of Zambia (ESMAZ) has welcomed government’s move to give back the black mountain to the small scale miners popularly known as Jerabos in Kitwe District.

ESMAZ President Victor Kalesha says this will help in reducing the high levels of unemployment on the Copperbelt.

Mr. Kalesha has also observed that the decision to hand back the black mountain to the Jerabos will also help create wealth and boost economic activities on the Copperbelt.

The ESMAZ president has since called on the Jerabos to ensure that they operate within the confines of the law.
