Residents of Lusaka’s Matero Township have bemoaned the erratic water supply being experienced in that area.
The residents have complained that they have been experiencing erratic water supply for some time now and yet nothing has been done to rectify this problem.
The residents lamented that the current situation has been very challenging especially for women and children as they have to wake up early and cover long distances in search of the commodity.
One of the residents who declined to be named disclosed that some children have ended up being hit by speeding motorists as they cross the busy road in search of water.
The residents have since reiterated calls on the water utility firm to quickly address the water challenges being faced in that area.
