The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has been commended for embarking on community sensitization programmes in Lusaka and other parts of the country.
And the residents of Garden compound have noted that the recent community sensitization program on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse will help a lot of youths to grow into responsible citizens.
In an interview, Mwansa Kalonde expressed sadness that young people in the community wake up as early as 05 hours to abuse alcohol and other drugs due to lack of employment opportunities and recreational facilities.
Another resident Lubinda Musole has commended Ngwerere ward 19 councilor Adrian Banda for engaging the Drug Enforcement Commission to sensitize young people in his ward on the dangers of abusing drugs and alcohol.
He noted that this will encourage young people in the community to start engaging in productive activities instead of abusing drugs and other illicit activities.
