COUNCIL URGED TO CONSTRUCT MORE PUBLIC TOILETS

Some concerned Lusaka residents have called upon the Lusaka City Council to construct more flushable public toilets in all Public places in the city.

Speaking in an interview with Komboni radio news, Joseph Tembo has stated that there is need for the council to construct more public toilets in order to improve sanitation and curb the outbreak of cholera.

He has observed that the poor sanitary condition and lack of ablution blocks in some markets and other public places has contributed to the cholera cases that have been recorded in Lusaka.

Another resident Cosmas Lengwe has urged government to come up with lasting measures that will help curb the outbreak of cholera and other waterborne diseases that have continued to claim lives.
