Mpulungu ward 23 Area councilor Christopher Shakafuswa says he will soon work on the blocked drainages in his ward.
In an interview with Komboni radio news councilor Shakafuswa attributed the clogging of drainages to the indiscriminate disposal of waste by residents and the heavy rains being experienced.
And councilor Shakafuswa has disclosed that the local authority has engaged a contractor to work on the drainage system and is expected to move on site as soon as possible.
Recently, residents of Chazanga Chalo Bantu area bitterly complained of blocked drainages and had called on their civic leaders to come to their aid.
