CONSTRUCTION WORKS TO CONNECT PROPERTIES ALONG KAFUE ROAD TO THE SEWER NETWORK COMMENCES

The Lusaka water and Sewerage Company says construction works aimed at connecting about 200 properties along the Kafue road to its sewer network have commenced.
Company marketing and Public Relations Manager Patson Phiri disclosed to Komboni Radio News that the connections are also meant to protect the underground water.
Mr. Phiri disclosed that this project is being done under the Lusaka Sanitation project and will cost about three million dollars.
He stressed that the water utility firm is committed to scaling up access to sewer networks in Lusaka.
Meanwhile Mr. Phiri says the company has been unable to supply water in Chilanga due to the power interruptions as a result of the maintenance works being carried out the by ZESCO.
He further said that most areas in Chilanga will continue to experience erratic water supply until the works are completed at the Chilanga substation.
