Confusion has erupted over the death of a 24 year old woman of Misisi compound who allegedly committed suicide on Friday last week in unclear circumstances.
According to neighbours, parents of the deceased woman have refused to accept that their daughter committed suicide and are demanding that they want to see their daughter alive.
Sources have disclosed that the mother who is based in Serenje district has since refused to travel to Lusaka for the funeral as she does not believe that her daughter committed suicide.
The prevailing situation has forced the deceased’s husband to look for money in order to transport the body of his late wife only identified as Ruth to her parent’s village in Serenje district.
However, neighbours to the deceased woman feel that the husband is being victimized as they strongly believe that Ruth committed suicide and there was no foul play.
On Friday night, a woman of Misisi compound in her mid twenties allegedly committed suicide citing economic hardships.
According to a resident only identified as Peter, the deceased had earlier warned her husband that she would commit suicide.
