CONFUSION ERUPTS IN LILANDA OVER THE RUNNING OF THE COOPERATIVE MARKET

BY OSCAR NKUWA
Confusion erupted at Lilanda cooperative market yesterday after the Patriotic front branch officials attempted to take over the running of the cooperative market.
This was after the PF Lilanda market branch Chairman Brian Kapapi wrote to the cooperative requesting the Executive to submit the financial report dating January 2016 to December 2016 which was turned down by the cooperative officials.
The refusal by the market leadership to give the financial report as demanded then forced the cadres to issue a 48 hour ultimatum.
And cooperative secretary Judith Mushaukwa told Komboni radio news that the PF branch officials have called for a consultative meeting and charged that the traders at the market will not condone any political interference.
And efforts to get a comment from area councilor Patrick Salubusa failed by Press time.
