Kabwata ward 6 Councilor Longa Chiboboka has warned of stern action against residents in the habit of dumping garbage in undesignated areas.
In an interview with Komboni Radio News, Mr Chiboboka charged that he has noted with regret the continued indiscriminate disposal of garbage by some residents in his ward.
He has since appealed to residents to ensure that they avoid dumping waste material in drains and other places to avoid the outbreak of waterborne diseases in the area.
The civic leader has further warned that those that will be found wanting risk being arrested and prosecuted.
