Mwembeshi ward 22 Councilor Kelvin Kaunda has warned residents of Chunga Township who are illegally disposing their sewer wastes into the drainage system.
Speaking in an interview with Komboni radio news, Councilor Kaunda warned that all households that have illegally connected pipes to the drainage for waste disposal will be dealt with by the law.
The civic leader who acknowledged the sewer blockage problem in Chunga Township however said that this does not give residents the right to do illegal connections.
Councilor Kaunda has noted with concern that the disposal of sewer waste into drainages is a health hazard to the community.
