Residents of Chunga Township have expressed happiness over the ongoing construction works of a foot-bridge across the drainage on the Kalundu road.
In an interview with a Komboni radio news crew that visited the community today, a resident only identified Diamonds commended the authorities for responding to calls from residents to work on the bridge after it was damaged.
She has observed that the construction of a new bridge will ease the movements of residents who want to cross to the other part of the Township.
And Melissa Mwansa has urged the contractor who has been engaged by the local authority to speed up works, stating that the open ditch is posing danger to children who play around that area.
