CHIPATA COMPOUND RESIDENTS URGED TO MAINTAIN HIGH HYGIENE STANDARDS

A civic leader in Chipata compound has appealed to residents in his ward to maintain high hygiene standards to avoid the further outbreak of cholera in the area.

Raphael Chota ward 22 Councilor Joseph Tamba says there is need for members of the community to keep their surroundings clean following the outbreak of cholera that has been recorded in some parts of the city.

In an interview with Komboni radio News, Councilor Tamba urged residents to  drink treated water and avoid using water from the streams and shallow wells.

The civic leader stated that he is concerned with some cases of Cholera that have been recorded in some parts of the city and assured residents that he is doing everything possible to avoid the further outbreak of the disease.
