CHIPATA COMPOUND RESIDENTS APPEAL FOR MORE TOILET FACILITIES AT THE LOCAL HEALTH CENTRE

BY RUTH MUMBA

Residents of Chipata compound have bemoaned the inadequate number of toilets at Chipata Health Centre.
Speaking in an interview with komboni radio news, Monica Kabwe complained that the toilets at the local clinic are not enough to carter for the population of people who seek medical attention at the health centre.
Another resident Sarah Musole said that there is need for the authorities at the clinic to ensure that the labor ward has its own toilets and showers for expectant mothers.
Ms Musole says it is unfortunate that patients have to wait until they are discharged to go home and take a bath.
The residents have since appealed to the local leadership in the community to facilitate for the construction of more toilet facilities at the local health centre.
