Residents of Lusaka’s Chinika compound have apprehended a woman of the same compound and handed her over to the police for allegedly mistreating her 6year old step daughter.
The angry residents have disclosed to a Komboni Radio News crew that visited the community today that they decided to hand over the named woman following her continued physical and verbal attacks on her step daughter.
The residents explained that they were forced to intervene in the matter after the child was last night locked outside the house for unknown reasons.
The residents have since appealed to the authorities to take the child away from her abusive step mother stating that her biological father is hardly home due to his busy work schedule.
