Residents of Chibolya compound have expressed happiness over the progress made on the rehabilitation of roads in the community by the Zambia National Service.
The project initiated by Kanyama area Member of Parliament Elizabeth Phiri has seen the rehabilitation of the road that leads to sensitive institutions such as the Chibolya community police.
A resident only identified as Mrs Manyika said the deplorable state of roads in Chibolya compound had resulted in motorists shunning the area hence forcing residents to cover long distance to other townships.
Another resident Joe Nsama welcomed the grading of the road stating that the community has been neglected for many years in terms of development.
The local authority has engaged the Zambia National Service to rehabilitate roads in Chibolya compound.
