Residents and motorists in Chalala area are calling upon the local authority to install street lights along Kasama road.
The residents have charged that there is need for the local authority to install street lights along the said road in order to enhance security around that area.
Mr John Nkandu says the lack of street lights along the said road has contributed to increased criminal activities as criminals have taken advantage of the darkness at night to ambush unsuspecting members of the public and break into peoples’ homes.
The residents have since pleaders with the authorities to take this as a matter of urgency in order to protect the lives of residents and their property.
