CHAISA RESIDENTS REPEAT CALLS FOR THE REHABILITATION OF FEEDER ROADS

Residents of Lusaka’s Chaisa compound have repeated calls on the local authority rehabilitate feeder roads in that community.

Mr Miko Mweemba says there is need for the authorities to urgently rehabilitate roads in Chaisa compound before the onset of the rains in order to avoid what was experienced last season.

Another resident Steward Simfukwe called on the area councilor to ensure that the community benefits from the road rehabilitation projects currently taking place in the country.

He laments that most roads in the community become impassable during the rainy season due to their dilapidated state.

Meanwhile, Chaisa ward 20 Councilor Ruth Phiri has assured the residents that the roads will be worked on as the area has been allocated some kilometers under the L400 road maintenance project.
