Kanyama Ward councillor Brighton Bilumba has assured residents that his office is working with the police to ensure that gangs that have continued to terrorize residents are caged.
Mr Bilumba says his office is aware of the continued attacks on innocent residents by suspected gangs who in some cases have even killed people.
The councillor has also called on the residents to partner with the police by forming community neighbourhood watch groups which will help enhance security in Kanyama compound.
Mr. Bilumba has also urged the residents to be cautious and avoid moving alone at night.
Residents of Kanyama compound recently complained of the continued attacks by gangs that have been terrorizing them and most cases raping women and girls.
