ALL IS SET FOR THE INSTALLATION OF CHIEF MWAMBA

All is set for the installation ceremony of senior Chief Mwamba-Mwine Ituna, Brown Chileshe Kalolo.

Organizing committee member Lupando Munkonge has disclosed the development in an interview today saying the ceremony will be held at the palace in Mwamba Village.

And Mr. Munkonge warns that political party cadres will not be allowed to wear their regalia during the ceremony in an effort to avoid confusion.

He says the program is scheduled to start at 08:00 hours adding that the provincial minister Brian Mundubile is expected to grace the ceremony.

Mr. Munkonge has since implored members of the general public to turn up in large numbers to witness the installation ceremony of senior Chief Mwamba-Mwine Ituna, Brown Chileshe Kalolo.

And in a related development, the police command in Northern Province has warned political party supporters against politicizing the installation ceremony of Senior Chief Mwamba of the bemba people scheduled to take place in Kasama tomorrow.

Northern Province Police Commissioner Richard Mweene said no political regalia will be tolerated at the event as it a pure traditional occasion.

Commissioner Mweene said police will be on high alert to ensure that all perpetrators of confusion during the noble event are brought to book.

He said all those intending to attend the Chief’s installation ceremony must allow the Bemba Royal Establishment to conduct the event without any disturbance.

And Commissioner Mweene has urged members of the public to refrain from indulging in reckless behaviour during the long weekend.

He said people need to be cautious of their own safety and avoid excessive beer drinking.

The Northern province Police Commissioner further revealed that police will increase patrols to ensure that law and order is maintained.
