A decomposed body of an unidentified woman has been discovered along Kafue road in Lusaka’s Misisi compound.
The body was discovered in the early hours of today by passersby who suspect that the woman was murdered somewhere else and later dumped in Misisi compound.
The residents charged that the road where the decomposed body was found is used frequently by residents and argued that there was no way they could have failed to notice it if it was there yesterday.
The residents suspect that the woman could have been killed for ritual purposes as the body was found with a rope around its neck and with missing body parts.
By Press time, the body had not yet been picked up by the police.
Meanwhile, residents have castigated the police for delaying to pick up the body on time.
And the residents have urged the police to thoroughly investigate the matter and ensure that the culprits are brought to book.
