A 30 year old Pastor of Valley of Hope Ministry in Lusaka’s Kabanana compound has committed suicide after he was accused of raping his 22 year-old maid.
Police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo who disclosed the development has identified the deceased as Amos Chisanga who committed suicide by hanging at his residence.
Chisanga was discovered hanging in his children’s bedroom by his wife who later called for help to rescue the husband who was grasping for breath but later died.
The body was picked by police and is current lying in the University Teaching Hospital (UTH).
And in a related development, a 36 year old man of no fixed abode on Thursday committed suicide while attending a funeral in Chilenje Township.
The deceased identified as Mackey Phiri reportedly took DOOM pesticide and was later rushed to Chilenje First Level Hospital.
