Residents of Lusaka’s Garden-Chilulu compound have bemoaned the erratic water supply being experienced in that area.

The residents have disclosed to Komboni Radio News that they have had no water supply for over three weeks now a situation they say has proved to be very challenging.

They lamented that the water crisis in the community has resulted in lack of productivity especially among women as they spend much of their time searching for water for domestic use.

A resident only identified as Bana Angela further complained that the situation has become dangerous as women are forced to cover long distances even at night as they are charged for water at the only available water sources in the community.

The residents have since appealed to their area councilor to engage the water utility company in resolving the water crisis being faced in that community.
