Volunteers who were engaged by the Ministry of Sports to work at Heroes Stadium during the 2017 CAF under-20 Championship have protested demanding to be paid their dues.

The volunteers who stormed Komboni Radio this afternoon charged that they are tired of waiting for their monies which should have been paid immediately after the tournament.

They complained that their families are suffering as they spent much of their time at the stadium when they should have been doing other productive activities.

The angry protesters disclosed that they are owed over K10, 000 each for the twenty days they worked during the CAF under-20 Championship which Zambia hosted.

They have since appealed to Sports Minister Moses Mawere to intervene in the matter.

According to the Contract obtained by Komboni Radio News, the volunteers where promised K500 per day which was supposed to carter for their transport and food during the tournament.
