12 YEAR OLD GIRL KILLED BY CROCODILE IN SIAVONGA DISTRICT

A 12 year old girl has been killed and dragged into the Zambezi River by a crocodile in Siavonga District.

Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama confirmed the sad development to Komboni Radio News that Enala Sikoongo was killed yesterday as she was drawing water in the Zambezi River.

Mr Kanyama disclosed that Enala was a grade four pupil at Bbakasa Primary School adding that her body was retrieved and has since been buried.

The Siavonga DC has since directed the Marine Police and officers from the Department of National Parks and Wildlife to hunt down the crocodiles that have continued killing people in the district.

The latest incident comes barely a week after an Eighteen year old boy was also killed and dragged into Lake Kariba by a crocodile.
