11 PEOPLE DIE ON THE SPOT WHILE 29 OTHERS ARE NURSING INJURIES AFTER BEING INVOLVED IN A ROAD ACCIDENT NEAR MUNALI HILLS

11 people have died on the spot while 29 others are nursing injuries in Kafue District Hospital after being involved in a road accident last night.

This was after the vehicle Hino Ranger registration number AKB 2872 which was being driven by Constantino Sibusenga of Namwala District rolled into a drainage at Kafue’s Munali hills.

Southern province commissioner of police Bonny Kapeso who has confirmed the incident to Komboni Radio News says  among the dead include 6 males, two females and three babies aged between one and three years.

Mr. Kapeso says the deceased have not yet been identified while the driver is currently on the run.

The Southern Province Police Chief has also disclosed that one victim has been evacuated to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) and has urged Namwala residents whose relatives travelled to Lusaka for business to visit Kafue District Hospital.
